Oh god no. Cirelli is a nice piece, but he is just not worth what you are asking from Chicago.

definitely selling high on Cirelli. Good player, but his numbers are a product of the team around him. Something like a 2nd or 3rd from TBL might make this look a little better. The Callahan contract is a big ask

I wouldn't say amazing. But he was 52.8% at the dot and 39 points in 82 games on a stacked team that scored 30 more goals than any other team. He'll be 22 in July.

I'd probably see if we could alter the deal and include Cal Foote. Even if it means some prospects or a mid round pick.

LOL people on here are really underestimating Cirelli potential. Good. That will catch them by surprise then.

Cirelli is on the untouchable list of Tampa, he's obviously not getting moved.

Cirelli is stud 2 way center at 21 years old . All his 40 points came as 3rd line center and was a PLUS 25 on year .. and no Kuch Point Stamkos time to pad stats. Zero time on PP and played PK!!! .. just scored in 3 straight games for team Canada .. not juniors .. big boys. He a star in making and 2nd line NHL center now but is still maybe 2 seasons away from 70 pts. .. he untouchable .. take Stamkos who only had 50 pts and zero plus minus outside of power play. POINT CIRELLI AND KADRI are my dream centers for Tampa and will win multiple cups.

People on here really haven't paid enough attention to him. Another gem in the making and he's 21. Sometimes I still get amazed how dumb good our "late" draft picks blossom and become good (or even great) players.
And it's funny how both him and Point got drafted in the third round, both got passed on multiple times by every team.

Wow, both teams hate it, sounds like fair trade to me smile

Yes Cirelli is great and has potential, but TBL is getting a Eric Karlsson type Dman who scored 60+ points at $1.2M hit for next year. After that you can still get him for $4-5M easy.
Thats a $5M discount from EK rate. Gives TBL more flexibility with UFA D. Yes Killorn can go too, but CHI doesn't need him, it could be other trade to perhaps acquire some dissent stay at home D.

CHI eats Callahan $6M, because they can and get nice young C in return. Loosing Gus is tough but this trade only happens if CHI drafts Byram at 3 OA (and Cirelli kind of replaces a "loss" of Turcotte). I know CHI could simply draft Turcotte and call it a day, but D like Byram don't become available too often and CHI doesn't draft in top3 too often.
