Chicago loses that trade. 1 year of Kreider+Strome isn't worth the fall in the draft.

Nah, don't think Chicago does this. You'd have to start with a great young player and that WPG pick. At this point Strome is a throw in and holds no real value, and while Kreider is a nice piece to have, the fact that you're moving from 20 something to 3rd won't make it enough.

Nah. A fringe UFA, 3rd liner and relatively low pick isn't going to cut it. Long-term they'd be f*cked, to put it mildly.

Yea, definitely not. 3rd overall starts with Kravtsov and we build from there, though even then I'd rather keep the pick.
