Trades
CHI
  1. Clarkson, David
  2. Tuch, Alex
Additional Details:
Trade frees up a ton of cap for Vegas, and I think w/ Stone + Gusev + Karlsson, Tuch has become somewhat redundant in the VGK lineup. Hawks might need to add here, but I'm not sure what.

4.75 mill isnt a ton of cap and its gonna take a lot more than a 2nd rounder to get Tuch

Highly unlikely Vegas gets rid of Tuch, but sure as hell not going to happen in a cap dump situation.

Clarkson is the dump, not Tuch. They clear 10M in pre-season cap space, and don't have to play LTIR games.

Clarkson as a dump would be similar to Hossa, which cost the Hawks Hinostroza and a 3rd (ish). Tuch is very good, which is why I noted the Hawks might need to add more. FOrsling and Sikura are both tweener prospects, they may be able to become good players at the NHL level, but their development is slower than many would like.

Would not make sense for Vegas. Only one year left on Clarkson's contract. An example of a trade similar to this concept would be Bickell+Teravainen to Carolina for nearly nothing now. Cap space was much more valuable then as opposed to now (it still is but you get the point), and it is still projected to go up in the future. Attach a 2nd round pick or two to his contract and a team might easily accept that.
