You can get way more than that for Petry... Otherwise, he's too valuable to us to simply trade him for that....

Yes I know, I changed before to post because people will complained lol with salary retained + Callahan we can get way more. But Petry would be a good fit at Hedman side. But MTL cant lose Petry right now, that will make a hole on the right side.

Joe Smith the Lightning beat writer, Pretty much said that Ryan Callahan is Detroit bound. Said that Yzerman almost dealt him there last season. So he must be willing to go there. And with Yzerman there now. It's pretty much guaranteed he'll be a Wing this season.

Callahan has value .. morons here dont get it .. he serviceable on ice and PK but huge add in leadership.. reason he was a C for NYR and A for Tampa when clearly in decline.. fantasy jock straps here dont understand value of a leader.. Justin Williams and even Pavelski and the lift Backes has given Boston is huge in playoffs.. the ONLY time that matters is playoffs!!!! .. yes they only spot players year round but locker room leadership to all the different ages and nationalities in today's locker room is huge

Idk if this is true or not, but McGuire was just on TSN1200 and reported there is a lot of speculation Callahan is going to buf, or at least would be part of a trade if it materialized. Callahan is from Rochester fyi.
