Ottawa say NO! They have picks, need good players and you are not giving them the kind of players they need for Chabot.

Lol imagine Ottawa flipping Chabot and Tierney for the 4th overall and scraps just for them to draft Byram who probably has like less than 15% chnace to turn out better than Chabot. No thanks lol

The Avs say no for sure to Montreal.
I believe theyd do the Hall trade.
Ottawa says no on that. id rather have Chabot than Byram

I am neutral on this one, but wanted to point out....

If NJD dealt Hall, it would be: (1) after the 2019 draft so all those picks would have to be 2020 or later and (2) under the presumption that he signs wherever he is dealt. So 1 year of Barrie plus handful of picks is nowhere close to landing Hall.

It would likely take one solid NHL player, one top prospect and one future pick - to get 7/8 years of Hall. So just off the top of my head...something like Kerfoot+Makar+2020 1st. Or similar.

holy crap, Montreal fans stick to making trades of over rating Drouin and leave the Avs alone. Of course you would give Girard away for a bunch of parts.
And Chabot isnt going to be traded and what in gods green earth do you think you need to add all those draft picks with Barrie for Hall?

Every trade is terrible, Sens decline, Avs would never move Girard especially to the Habs and Hall and Barrie trade makes 0 sense for either side. What a mess

i disagree with you on Chabot not being traded, he will be when his ELC ends as he will command between 6-8m on his next contract if he has a season like or better than 2018/2019 and OTT has traded EVERY player who asked for 5m or more in the last 5 years. ( ryan was a panic signing because they lost Alfredsson)

Lol naah. He wouldve cracked 60pts if he played the full season, hes only 22, i wouldnt trade him for the 4th pick, especially not in this draft. If i was trading him to get one of Raymond, Holtz, Drysdale in the 3-5th range next year, i might but still not likely. He definitely wouldnt get Byfield or Lafreniere, theyre just too good and likely to be franchise cornerstones.
