I don't think the Leafs could afford that.
I am also not interested in moving both Nylander AND a 1st (even if that is fair price). Subban would be run out of town like Gards was, add in locker room problems and it is a difficult sell.

I'd trade for PK, but not including Nylander.

He'd do well in Lavy's system

Why wouldn't Toronto just deal with Nashville directly? They aren't in the same division and you are overcharging both teams.... Nashville would probably do Nylander and Brown for PK and neither team would lose a 1st round pick in the process.

leafs need to get rid of cap not increase it. malkin had become too inconsistent for this price. Florida declines, keeps trojan, the pick and the cap.

From the Preds perspective, if the Leafs aren't giving up someone of at least Nylander's caliber then the Leafs aren't getting PK.

basically from a pens perspective the trade is kessel for Nylander and 2 1sts.

Does that seem reasonable considering 4 years ago the leafs traded kessel, spare parts, and a 2nd for kapanen spare parts and a 1st , with salary retained.
