Description
Open to thoughts on if these deals would work.
ANA is talking about buying out Perry.
NYR is rebuilding and the 1st round pick would be the key to that deal - and enable the Oilers to shed cap that NYR isn't using.
DET has a connection with Holland,

Moves are predicated on splitting up McD and Drai so that they can drive their own lines as centers,

Perry is not waiving for EDM and he is still a very useful player to the Ducks, Rangers decline that is not enough to get Kreider out of NY, Yzerman is not trading Mantha, Larkin and Mantha are the faces of the organization, Zadina also is not going anywhere he is still very young with huge upside.

Ottawa is not currently in the business of trading away picks. Especially for a bottom pairing D-Man

Im pretty sure Holland would say yes in a hurry to all of these, its convincing the rest that would be hard, tho RNH for Mantha isnt awful i think both teams really like their players

I’m a ranger fan and I would take that deal for kreider, Edmonton’s pick could be high again next year and to get a first and a good prospect for kreider, strome, and cap dumps is awesome, it’s been reported no one will give up a first for kreider as a 1 year rental so to get a possible lotto pick and a prospect for him and a few 1 year cap dumps is amazing idk why people would say no to that from a rangers perspective, you could argue do a sign and trade to get more but that rarely happens

I find it interesting that you always have an inside track on knowing who will and wont waive for where... not saying this trade gets done as the value is flawed but who the hell are you to say where a guy will and wont accept a trade to unless something has been said publicly.

Calm down tough guy. Do you think Perry would accept a trade to EDM? and why would Anaheim even consider making that trade?

Anaheim would never consider the trade the value of it is incredibly flawed in the Oilers direction, but there is just as much reason to think Perry would accept the trade as there is that he wouldnt. You like to run around and randomly claim players would reject trades to places when there isnt any evidence of it "tough guy"

So Perry would leave a place with great weather and basically where he has raised his family and kids for EDM lol, you understand that much tough guy?

Didn't the Rangers aquire Strome from Edmonton after they gave up on him? Doubt they want him back.

Good, YOU take that deal--meantime, the Rangers will respectfully decline. As a Ranger fan, this is not a worthwhile deal in the least. This is asking Walmart to pay Kmart's employees. No thanks.

Detroit laugh at the deal, Zadina isn't going anywhere. And no way Detroit's giving up both Mantha and Zadina long term. For what might only be 2 years of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

I don’t know, maybe he wants a change of scenery, new coaching staff, to come back to Canada, to play in a larger role again, any number of things could be reasoning he would accept the trade. I don’t know that he would, maybe he doesn’t. But god damn it is it annoying the way you so confidently declare a trade unlikely because someone involved has a NTC

Yeah maybe if Perry was told he was not wanted on the team, there is a reason why players and their agents negotiate a NMC/NTC in there contrats.

Sure there is. But circumstances change and those clauses are waived with regularity, do you understand that?

How is it not worthwhile to get a great prospect and probably a high first for a one year rental? Plus another pick, what’s your value of one year of kreider?

Keep in mind kreider is wildly inconsistent and only a 50 point winger, zucc was a 50 point winger and got a 2nd and a 3rd at the deadline, does kreider being younger and for a whole year rather than at the deadline really increase his value beyond what that trade is giving up?

I must be missing the great prospect...all i see is 3 spare parts and 2 picks for Kreider and Strome. With that said, I would do Kreider for the 2020 Edmonton first and maybe a conditional 3rd or something like that if he resigns.

I was fixing to tell him, but you beat me to it. Thank you.

Here's the truth: Oiler fans were clamoring to get Strome back, once Quinn fixed whatever was lacking in his game while he was IN EDMONTON! Kreider has been on their minds since McDavid showed the kind of speed he really has, and are hoping to pair them up along with Draisitil.

By dumping three salaries our way, this becomes the equivalent of having their cake and eating it, too, in this proposal.

The Rangers' rebuild is much further along than many realize. Adding fodder only makes a mess. Sorry, no thanks.

Comparing Kreider and Zuccarello, both as players and as trade chips is comparing apples and carburetors. Only Dallas's falling short of the WCF didn't turn their '19 2nd into a first. Once Zuccarello decides to stay, their '20 3rd becomes a first; the Rangers get another first to maneuver with. Worth the wait.

Kreider has developed a much better skating style, which leads him to more shots, better scoring opportunities, and leads to less minutiae and more positive possession of the puck and in play. His numbers will continue to improve, playing in Quinn's system; as did many of the Ranger forwards by season's end. Acquiring him now actually hurts your Oilers, because he could use more seasoning in this system to be more effective in yours.

What do I mean? Case in point: Mika Zibanejad and Ryan Strome. Because both players got more ice time and opportunity to work in this system, their growth could've been more evident. Zibanejad churned out a 70 point season while juggling forwards during the year. His focus on being in the system led to a season, where if the team had been better and others in the league hadn't had better overall performances, likely makes him a Hart candidate.

Strome, came back from the dead; he was an absolute corpse in Edmonton. A handful of points before his trade to NYR--arrives, the first month was an adjustment. He gets going in December, and was right there with Zibanejad, Kreider, Zuccarello (before the trade) and Chytil in terms of offense.

Stop trying so hard to convince yourself, that what you're hoping for Ken Holland to fleece Gorton into a horrid deal.
