I love seeing the word "realistic" in people's AGM scenario's...I know instantly the trades and signings are BS.

- I think you're really low on Hags and Connolly. Conno $4 x 4 years is a low point....and would be a steal. Hags probably cost more than $2.5M but some years of security like 3-4...
- Stevie and Stone for a 3rd round pick...honestly...why get him in the Holtby deal at this point. Go for Bennett and actually keep him.
- That being said, if you're throwing Stone and a depth forward away, the Holtby deal is not enough...you're getting a 1st, a future 2nd, and a depth guy for a top tier goalie with Stanley and Vezina on the resume...who would be getting a $8M or more deal btw, not $6-$6.75M....because if he'd take that...keep him in DC.
- Don't need Gravel or Honka, when you have Lucas Johansen or Tyler Lewington, or Djoos, or Siegenthaler...
- Also don't need Mangiapane when Gersich should have that spot...and Dowd or Stevie can fill out 4th line too...

Seems like a lot is going on here without a ton of thought to the who, what, and where...maybe trade Nisky to Dallas, get a high pick and Janmark. Have Gersich at 3LW, Janmark at 4LW...

Agree with you on your statement. Not so much BS ,but impractical.

Though I'm one who thinks Holtby's value is sliding especially on a long term deal.

If Holtby is not worth at least a 20% raise...to say $7.25M/year I'd be surprised, especially to a #1 goalie starved team like Calgary and his "hometown" team. If he's willing to take little to no raise and on shorter terms, then stay in DC and mentor up Samsonov. 2 years extension, $6.5M AAV would suit the Caps great. But if he leaves he's going to get $8M by at least 5 years from someone.

Edmonton needs to cut salary, not grossly overpay for someone in trade and then grossly overpay that guy in salary.
