Apparently this is whats being talked about. If Im Pitt, getting rid of JJ is obviously big, but I need a young player/ prospect back. Zucker could really flourish in Pitt and Rask isnt as bad as people think. Minny has to add at least a 2nd, maybe a guy like Greenway or Kunin goes the other way but I dont see Minny getting rid of either of those guys

(Contracts are obviously just there to see some sort of rough lineup)

I could see us moving Ek or Greenway but not in a Kessel trade. The alleged deal doesn't make sense for either side to me.

Fenton is one wild card. First he's going for retooling and making the team younger and then he suddenly plays a reverse uno card and goes for one of the biggest fishes in the market lmao

I don't think this one is Fenton's doing, rather Leipold. He wants us to be a contender ASAP and I bet he believes Kessel can make that happen. It just doesn't make any sense, all of Fentons trades were for younger players and now out of the blue we want a 31 year old 90p winger? Gotta be Leipold...

Is he aware what division you guys are in? I dunno but when you have Blues, Jets, Preds established, Stars on the rise with their D core and the Avs as young and dangerous they are, its not the time to try to compete for the Wild, too old too slow. They are no longer 1 piece away.

Apparently not, but I couldn't agree more with all of that. We need a rebuild so damn badly.

Wild are in that not bad enough to tank but not good enough to win range again. Its not a bad roster but unless you get top 5 Goaltending from Dubynk you wont win a thing for a long time.
Would the fan base be able to handle a rebuild?

You're exactly right. If we get good goaltending we could have a shot but otherwise we don't have enough firepower. I heard somewhere that post-deadline we were one of the worst teams in the league with scoring. I'd gladly welcome a rebuild. We sure as hell aren't going far with this roster unless we catch lightning in a bottle. This franchise has had arguably 1 superstar player with Gaborik and even he had his issues. Gotta get lucky and find one in the draft.

sadly you guys are stuck with Parise and Suter, no one wants to touch 7m at 34-35 years of age signed for 6 more years. Time to trim the fat and hope for the best. Guys like Brodin, Fiala are good but they dont help you now to win, and they probably wont be as effective in a few years if you do a rebuild so start to ask yourself, do you hold on to compete or start to stock the cupboards and grab as many assets as you can. Deep cuts now so you are set up for success

If Im Minny, I use Zucker and their 1st to trade up in the draft, they need a stud. It would only be moving up a few picks but I think Cole Caufield is 100% worth the flyer for a team like Minny. Could really flourish with Parise as a mentor
