What Fenton Should Be Doing with Zucker

Created by: BoredWildFan
Team: 2019-20 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: May 23, 2019
Published: May 23, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade Zucker to Colorado. Their window is open. Lots of capspace. Provides immediate secondary scoring.
Take that pick and move it to Vegas for Gusev. Take Holden back as a cap dump for a mid-round pick to help ease Vegas' cap burden.
MINN gets a right-handed shot who knows Kaprizov well.

Eh I'd just keep the pick, but I agree trade Zucker for picks and prospects not a 31 year old 90p winger. We aren't a cup contender with or without Kessel. I do like Gusev for the record.

I probably would keep the pick as well, but I think we both know Leipold isn't going to allow Fenton to trade Zucker (and Spurgeon) for assets that won't be in St.Paul for 2-3 years. Personally, I'd also be hesitant to give Fenton's kid extra picks this year. Let's see if he has any idea how to run a draft first.

Well said. I'm hoping we can work out a deal with Tampa or Toronto instead of Pittsburgh...
