Description

Chi Trade : I really doubt they'll be willing to trade their 3OA pick, but I think this would be a fair value. Considering the fact that Byram has more potential than Poelhing, it doesn't compromise our future.

VGK Trade : Overpayment to get one of the best young d-man. Vegas need to make cap space with Stone's new contract, trading theodore might get them a better return value as trading Miller. Byram would become best LHD prospect, so the habs could give Romanov as good prospect to take Theodore's spot in few years. Juulsen is a solid complete player, cheap, perfect for a 3rd pairing, with 2nd pairing potential.

2nds are bonus to really make sure that the proposal is imopssible to refuse.

Habs really really need a 1st pairing LHD since Markov is gone, and it's worth to overpay for Theodore because he is on a very good contract and he's young.

First Line : Might not be the most productive line, but the one that face the best offensive lines, reliable defensively, and Gally can get some clutch goals.

Second line : Big offensive potential.

Third line : Byron is a really fast player, KK is very creative and Connolly has nice shooting skills.

Kinkaid is good to get 25-30 quality startings, giving a better win% as Niemi.

Benn is comfortable to play left or right, so he's a good scratch, can take both 3rd pairing spots.

Peca, Deslauriers, Weise, Alzner will all play AHL, or be claimed off waivers

Finally, adding Theodore, Suzuki and Connolly (the only one who shoots right) will immediately make the powerplay better.

Really doesn't worth it for MTL (CHI trade)... The difference between Byram and one of Heinola, York or Broberg isn't as big as Poehling himself... We are talking about our futur 2C...

i don't think these trades really help MTL at all. I mean...first of all you're trading Poehling after 1 NHL game (which he scored THREE GOALS AND A SHOOTOUT GOAL), and our 1st rounder and a 3rd. MB already said hes not giving away future pieces. Sure Byram would be nice but not for that price.

The 2nd trade is equally as bad. Juulsen has shown great potential to be top-4 guy once Petry/Weber is gone. The eye injury is a non-factor because they already said its no longer an issue and hes 100%. Romanov has shown he can play in the NHL already and MB has publicly said that. Best D-man in the WJC. Also, two 2nd round picks? Let me remind you of some prospects and players that have been taken in the 2nd round...Brooks, Romanov, Ylonen, Lehkonen...

Now for the Connolly contract. 5mil for 5 years. Career high 46 points. People think the Nelson contract is bad, imagine MB actually did this? its just terrible.

Felixx07 , I like this. The window with Price and Weber is in the next 3 years so we need a good D NOW. Would a one on one Poelhing for CHI 1st choice be enough ? Or Byron and 1st choice for CHI1st choice. But even with your offer, I would consider it. Connolly is good catch too even if overpaid. We need bigger guys. Would prefer Kevin Hayes though if available for similar price.
