I've never considered dealing Marleau to Anaheim for Kesler and stuffing him on LTIR. Send him back to California. That'd be nice.

If the Wild brass was competent, it would take them 1/2 a second to accept that trade...and sign the paperwork before the Leafs figure out how dumb it is for them!

Yes, he would have to waive, which is a major hurdle. Ultimately the Leafs would have to make it clear that he will play 4th line minutes and/or be scratched if he stays. His choice.

Similar thought process to the Clarkson for Horton deal, but Marleau still needs to waive.
