For that deal, I think they would be crazy not to

That Ottawa deal is bananas. That will never happen, Calgary will have to add a lot more than an overaged prospect in Foo and a 6th.

Way too much for Flames to give up for a one year rental. If you want a "hometown" boy, trade for Willy Nylander.....please.

Brodie is a UFA after this season, and Montreal is very deep with Centers now. They want poeling and kotkaniemi playing while still having domi and denault. not to mention that Gallagher is currently one of the best contracts in the league and is a huge piece in their locker room.

Come on now do you really expect someone to look at a team other than their own when formulating a trade. That's way too logical for this site!!

I think Calgary would get a third with hall and possibly a prospect on top for Jonny he is younger and higher calibre but I like the trade otherwise

What’s the price CGY has to pay for Nylander?

Leafs need cap....if its me, I don't want any player in return. I'd take a first although many think he's worth far more.

CGY has a late first (#26). What if they did Jankowski + Kylington + #26 for Nylander? Saves a boatload of cap, plus gets back a 3C and a very solid LD prospect.

I would do that, to me it makes sense for the Leafs instead of trading multiple players to be cap compliant. A trade just might wake Nylander up and he can become the good player he can be.
