Dont you have to win one first?

It's only been 50 years SINCE YOU WERE SWEPT THREE YEARS IN A ROW IN CUP FINALS..

Propose a trade for 2068 .. next time you in final

Binnington ain't signing for $3.5MM AAV. The only way the Blues afford a guy like Panarin (who won't go to St Louis anyway) or Skinner is to shed some salary from a guy like Schenn.

3.5 would be similar to Matt Murray's contract after they won. That being said, we should wait until we see the result of the cup finals

In fairness, they were only swept three straight years because the way they did the expansion, an entire conference was all expansion teams. One had to get to the cup and then get blown out each user.

That is true and GREATLY diminishes Bobby Orrs "famous" goal ... not his career .. which was in Game 4 of the expansion Blues 3rd consecutive sweep

Dude...that is bad mojo claiming a victory before it happens. We're all excited in the 314, but as others said above, we have to win a series before we can start making B2B posts.

And a person with any semblance of hockey knowledge would have known that. It didn't matter who played those original 6 teams stocked full of hall of famers...all were bound to get annihilated. God bless Scotty Bowman for getting us there though.

Uhhhh, nothing diminishes Bobby Orr's career. The dude is a top two defenseman all-time. Some comment on CapFriendly doesn't diminish anything he accomplished.

i mean, it was in a sweep....it was a cool goal and any OT goal that wins a cup is really cool, but I think most people know that if he missed the net, the blues went down and scored, then the bruins were going absolutely beat the bag out of the blues in game 5.

Setting aside that Panarin isn't signing with us, you can't leave the cap coffers empty like that. In this scenario, we'd still need to re-up Petro and Dunn at some point.

I'll agree. Bourque is right up there. There are so many great players, it's hard to remember them all. My fave of all time was, has been, and shall remain Chris Pronger.
