Good signing by the Jets but I’m surprised it wasn’t for more term, Jets will need to expose a goalie to Seattle

Solid signing by the Jets. Smart by Brossoit to only take one year. If he has another good year he can push for a multi-year deal as a UFA next year in a tandem situation.

If he has a good year, he'll probably be traded at the deadline for a 2nd or 3rd round pick

Good signing. Knew it would only be 1 year, another good year and he cashes in as a UFA

With the cap issues coming up, they could've gone cheaper, or gone with a different goalie. Probably not Comrie though.

I don't think too many tears will be shed if Comrie or Brossoit are claimed. Berdin too, though he might turn into something.

This year has proven you need a good backup that can eat at least 30 games from the starter.

I like it, he gambled on himself. You want confidence in a goaltender.

He had a great season, no doubt. But, he was terrible w/ EDM the previous season. One season as a backup on one of the top teams in the entire league doesn't say a whole lot, in my opinion. Given his lack of experience (49 career games played), I don't think he's underpaid. The team in front of the goalie means a ton. Look at Halak with BOS. His numbers were abysmal last season w/ NYI and excellent w/ BOS this season. NYI were a terrible defensive team w/ Halak. They became great defensively under Trotz and both their goalies achieved top 5 numbers. Brossoit may be an excellent goalie for years to come, but right now...not so much.

Had a solid season. See if it wasn't a lucky year. If he has another and is a reliable back up again can push for a longer term contract. Win win for both sides. Good job Chevy & Jets & Brossoit. Great for free agent pick up who was picked up the dumpster pile only a year ago.
