I seriously doubt Detroit gives up Hronek for Trouba, personally I wouldn't trade Hronek for Trouba 1 for 1. At 27 Telegin isn't coming back to the NHL. Since he's not under contract it isn't a cap dump, so why add him? He has no value. Carolina isn't giving up Geekie for Svech. The only player i could see Toronto taking is Glendening. The Franzen trade would be more of a hassle than it's worth to move him. Plus there are several teams that will pay Ottawa for taking on unwanted cap. You don't have Detroit signing any big name UFAs and I think that is smart and I like it.

No f-ing chance Wings give up Hronek for Trouba. If he makes it to free agency next year they'll go after him, otherwise it's not happening

Guess you missed the part where Hronek isn't on the table for Trouba, And FYI Green hates Babcock so no way Green is signing with Toronto in any deal.

So many people don't seem to understand that Franzen every year, is on LTIR, which DOES NOT count against the cap. That trade is pointless.

Or they just put him on IR list instead of LTIR... Then he affects the cap...

They don't lol. Franzen is on LTIR. Has been since 2014.

IR is basically the same thing with only it affecting to the cap... Same way Gaborik and MacArthur have been on the IR list in order to make the affect the cap, even though they're not playing a single game anymore.
