Next Offseason- ByramHayes This Offseason

Description
All contracts that expire this year were made one year less on this team. Ex: Byram at 2 years not 3.

Even if the rumors about Hayes are true, I doubt he signs here. But it is very enticing.

Loving the young d core, but I’m just being hopeful that they all make it in this time frame.

Delia can hopefully be a full time starter and Lankinen is playing well at worlds right now.

Mainly just for fun here. I like making Chicago young and great again through stupid biased trades that are completely unrealistic and hate enducing.

Lol I know. Honestly if Chicago passes on him (which I very much so could see them doing) I still don’t think he falls to 6.
This draft as a whole is quite unpredictable from the 3-15 range though and I like it

We could potentially talk about making a trade fir Detroit to trade up if you want Bryam.

I do like the idea of using Beaudin as bait in a trade if Byram is drafted (which he absolutely should be). I think it would take more for someone to take Seabrook's contract, but it does make a lot of sense. A top four of Byram, Boqvist, Gustafsson and Jokiharju would be great for such a long time.

I really like the situation too. Byram or Turcotte for sure are my picks.

What more do you think should be added? Maybe upgrade to a 2nd?

I think it would need to be a pretty substantial package to entice a team into taking Seabrook's contract. I'd honestly consider that to be one of the worst in the league, and I see Beaudin + a 2nd being the bare minimum required for this to happen.

Reasonable. But Seabrook isn’t just dead cap space like most people think. He is still an effective shut down guy, he just has moments (a lot of moments) where he gets beat because of speed. Also, he is still capable of putting up 10-15 goals as well.

If you give up assets to move seabrook you aboslutely have to use that space to sign a FA or 2, preferably at least 1 good defender. Youre icing 3 rookies on the blueline, that is not a recipe for playoff success

I agree that the space should be used for somebody, but this is also an extra year down the line. If these guys are NHL ready, you can’t keep them in the minors.
