Mantha does not produce what Larkin does, so there is no way his salary exceeds Larkin unless Mantha drives home 40 goals next year. He's a good player, but he does take too many games off, although I think Yzerman is going to put an end to that lackadaisical play eventually.

Turcotte won’t make the NHL after one season at Wisconsin. He’d go to the AHL for at least a little while to get stronger and acclimated to the pro game. Guys that go from NCAA to the pros are generally older. That’s what he means.

I can see that scenario (I’m not a Divealanche fan). Whichever team doesn’t take Bryan the other will. And the only other player to consider would be Cole Caufield (Johnny Gaudreau/Alex DeBrincat paved the way for smaller sized guys to still be successful and GM’s will use it in their Calculus).
