No way the Jets accepts it. Quality > Quantity. I hope the organization learn from the mistake of the city's previous franchise by trading a young Finnish player

I don’t see kilger, tverdovsky involved, but not enough either, deangelo, Andersson, howden, and the draftpicks might be a little more intriguing, but I don’t see jets trading now, until a min of a trouba dance til the prospect of him walking free, hopefully a year sooner than trouba, so there’s a little more value or a big extension.

If extended, I wouldn’t trade Kreider to get Laine straight up. Laine is overrated. Yea he is gonna get you 30-40, and do absolutely nothing else. So probably not gonna find a package that would have to overpay for the perception of Laine to make that deal happen.

Yes, but Laine does everything except scoring goals very poorly. He's a better goal scorer than Kreider - which is probably the best thing to be good at, but he's worse in every other aspect of the game. I'm not saying Laine can't get better, but he's consistently since he entered the league been at or around the bottom in again basically everything but scoring goals. If I were to trade for Laine I'd want to see some signs of improving. I'd rather sign a 27 y/o Kreider for 7 x 7, than a 21 year or Laine for 7 x 7. I know I'm not necessarily in the majority, cause people love high scoring young players, but Laine isn't just below average, like he is sooo bad at defending, at keeping possession, even setting up other players.

Fair enough, but I think after his nasty slump, I think he’s starting to figure it out, the move up to the first line with scheifele and wheeler, I think helped a ton in his development. I’m a krieder fan but some of his best hockey is behind him, I wouldn’t want 7 years on him, probably 5 at most and he’s a helluva hockey player at his current contract but not sure if the case will be the same at 7 million. He could be the missing piece in wpg, with his 2 foot tough area goals, but not at the expense of laine.

I really think what has Wpg looking worse this year compared to last is Wheeler's signs of decline. He was in my opinion their best player by far the previous two years, and he's the Laine inverse right - always did exactly everything but scoring at an elite level, and even his scoring caught up to that the last few years. Now that he might be on the decline, and with Buf approaching a worrying age, Trouba wanting out, I don't really know what to make of this team going forward. Scheifele is good, but he only looked elite because of Wheeler (again, imo). Their best player next year could literally be Kyle Connor, which is... Not great. Like he's not bad or anything, I think he's good, but compared to other teams it's not great. If I'm swapping Kreider for any Jet it'd probably be Ehlers, or even Connor depending on how they value him

For where the rangers are in there build, 100 percent laine makes more sense than krieder, Laine is still developing, his game improved immensely, and learned a lot battling through that slump, and I think scheifele and wheeler teaching a lot by example.

I would have traded high on wheeler last summer instead of extending so large, could be the downfall of this current squad. I would not sell low on ehlers, and Conner I think is going to be key. Scheifele I think is wore out for fighting his own battles, and living and dieing with results and wears his heart on his sleeve. I wish they found a power forward for that line that would keep scheifele from being targeted. Simple way of beating the jets is knocking scheifele off his game and frustrating him. Buffy when healthy still solid and Morrissey going to keep improving, but there going to need a breakout kid to eat some minutes on blueline, possibly niku
