I would trade hunwick to free up space on the cap and ask okposo to wave his ntc and get a list of teams I honestly think his contract weighs the team down what you get for him is another story

I would like to try that plus I do think sobotka leaves for the KHL too but I think all of those things are wishful thinking. I’d love to look at Zucker too

I think we are stuck with Okposo

And although he’s obviously overpaid,
at least he looks like he can produce 15-ish goals for us

And he’s doing that in a strictly bottom6 role
I don’t think he’s actually as bad as ppl think when u consider that

Sobatka only has a year left
So if we are stuck with him, we can deal
But maybe there’s a team that would take him for their 4th line- especially if we keep half his salary

I doubt he goes to the KHL
No one there is gonna pay him 3.5mil for this year,
so it wouldn’t make sense on his end

It depends if he wants to play or not. He can go there and be top 6 where here he is strictly 4th line with limited minutes.
I don’t hate Okposo either. Not the worst thing we keep him. Can move up and down the lineup

I think ppl are making too many assumptions about Sobotka
He’s not Russian, he’s Czech, so who knows that he’d even want to move back to Russia again?

He came back to the NHL for a reason after all
Maybe he didn’t like it there?
