Easily the most intriguing thing I've ever seen on this website. I don't hate it.. I don't love it though either. Here are my takes

1: CBJ doesn't do this if their entire offense gets gutted via FA (Duchene, Dzingel, Panarin). I feel they'd rather blow up and get pick/prospect for Wennberg rather than a pricy 3LC

2: I like it, CGY could definitely listen to this

3: VAN shouldn't do this only because in the end, NYI wouldn't do Markstrom for 1st (Griess/Lehner both very similar) which would leave VAN without a 1st rd pick

4: BOS clearly didn't resign Schaller for a reason, his very low stock has plummeted even further with a terrible stint in VAN, and why change a Cup winning team? (Sorry St. Louis).

5: Pretending the FLA trade goes through, I think the talent pool drops too much from picks 10-13 to 19 so not a good deal for VAN

6: I have no opinions on why this would or wouldn't go through so... good move for VAN, gets rid of a bit of fringe.

7: Hard to consider giving up the future Captain.. even for Hall. talented as he is, I'd take Horvat's leadership and style of play over Hall's speed and offense. Also, Severson >>> Hutton and Kole Lind's value is pretty nonexistent right now.

8: Don't know if the 5th and 7th are needed.. Granlund for a 4th is a-ok with me.

9: Way too much for Zucker. Virtanen has potential to be Zucker in few years.. that plus 1st and Leivo is over payment. Could see Leivo, 1st for Zucker, 2nd.

10: As discussed above... Lehner = Markstrom, imho. Both fringe goalies that would thrive under defensive systems with Trotz.

Mad props for going outside the box. Love the thought process and even though I don't think GMJB would take that much action in 5 years let alone an offseason it was still really cool to see the time you put into this. Final team is still thin on D and G but a Boeser, Pettersson, Duchene, Hall, Hughes PP1 would be unreal
Hughesline liked this.

I don't understand why NJD would make that deal.
