that doesn't get you subban, and Luongo will retire and apparently they're going after either Bob or Varly.

Nashville isn't going to trade Subban and Sissons for two 1 year rentals.

Hoffman with only a year left and a 3rd pair d man isn't enough for subban

Subban is a 30 year old with three years left at $9m AAV playing on Nashville's second pairing. They should desperately want to move that contract. Nashville had the worst powerplay last year and Hoffman is one of the best at it with only one year left on his deal. Also Hoffman can play second or fist line time on the right wing for them.

Is Malkin just a 2nd line centre? Just because Subban plays on the 2nd pair in Nashville, doesn't mean he's not a top pairing D - he absolutely would be on the Panthers.

Nashville passes easily. Soon to be UFA Hoffman might get you a signed Sissons. Preds can throw in future considerations for Pysyk.

I don't understand how you don't see an elite powerplay guy/second line RW with one year left an asset for what will be a cap strapped team. They get one year to test the waters with Hoffman (who helps their worst area last season) and can choose to resign him if they want while moving a 30 year old with three years left at $9m AAV. Also I watch a lot of Panthers and even just looking at the numbers Pysyk should be just fine next to Ekholm on the second pairing.

I'm not saying that Subban doesn't have the skill to be a top pairing guy. I'm pointing out the fact that Nashville has to pay $27m over the next three seasons to a guy that is on the second pairing when they are soon to be strapped for cash. Also I don't understand why everyone undervalues Pysyk so heavily. You guys must not watch the Panthers at all.

They got hoffman for a 2nd round pick and this guy thinks he can turn hoffman and pysyk ( who is basically an echl player at this point) for subban xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

its not constructive, go watch some hockey and learn a thing or two about players value, you want to trade an expiring contract and an echl player for a PROVEN top 2 defenceman good luck bud

How are we a cap strapped team? Were a cap strapped team to sign a big time free agent but we dont have to just throw subban away for a ufa after this year. What does Hoffman a 30 year go for if he has another 30 goal season. If we trade subban it will be for a top 6 guy who has some term or some really good prospects and picks to sign Duchene even though I would only do it for a top 6 guy with term.

I know you must be trolling or stupid considering you think Mark Pysyk is an ECHL player and that a 30 year old Subban getting paid $9m a season for three more seasons to play only on the second pairing for Nashville is valuable. Please inform me which defensemen you'd pay $9m to for the next three years to play on your second pairing.
