This is a steal for Nashville. They are trying to get rid of cap and I think Turris will be a hard asset to move.

Hahahah. I don’t know Detroit. I’m a Van fan lol. I know Veleno is a very very good prospect. Didn’t realize he was that high valued. Ok. Take out the 2nd. Veleno for Turris straight up then?

I know he’s a high end prospect but didn’t know to what extent. Take out the pick and it’s good?

A few games at a world championship isn’t much to judge player chemistry from, but I thought Turris and Mantha played pretty well together.

Turris also has a brutal contract. He is falling off a cliff rapidly. Three years ago this might have been a decent trade, but now his value is almost negative unless another bad contract is sent the other way or Nashville retains cap.

Any “very very good prospect” is worth more than Turris anyway

Shoot we'll give you Alzner for Zadina and a 2nd lol

Turris is on a consistent decline since joining NSH who has buyers remoarse on their logterm 6m dollar deal .

You just don't know the current value of Turris a bit, and 5-7 good games at the World Cup do not make the weather.

If you wanted Turris I’m sure Nashville would part ways with him for just a 3rd rounder.

If Nashville has decided to spend 6m elsewhere and not on Turris, Nashville would be happy to just to give away his 6m X 5 contract. Even giving him away does Detroit want that long term commitment to a 29 year old who seems to be declined.
It' similar to Leafs Zaitsev. IMO is worth close to 4.5m cap hit, but he is a really tough trade cause teams would like the cap flexibility for five years but not trading for him.

its less about Want as opposed to they're ready to pay someone to give them a cheaper player who can fill the role he plays.
Lars Eller ,Marcus Johanson , Justin Williams and even Andrew Shaw are all guys NSH would be looking to provide consistency in the playoffs and lead the youth in the bottom 6 .

Upgrading from Turris to Shaw would be appealing because the cost is less as he's overcome injuries recently and like Gallagher and Weber post injury there is a lot of questions about if he'll be able to stay healthy . In Weber and Gallaghers case they have but given the other 3 options dont have the same issues you're looking at a cheap alternative to trying to pry away an Eller
