Description

Taylor Hall signs a contract extension with New Jersey, 8 years, 9.5 million

I put Davies, Anderson, Rooney, and Seney on LTIR just to show that they will be regular call ups from Binghamton throughout the season when inevitable injuries occur. The reason I put them on LTIR as opposed to scratches is because on LTIR it doesn't show up on the salary cap.

I do like nurse and his size though!

That EDM trade is horrible. I'd rather keep Nurse

So by trading for Nurse in effect becomes a 9.2m Dman. 3.2m of Nurse and 6m of Lucic. Many ways to spend 9.2m better.

If it cost the Oilers nurse to move lucic then lucic is staying in Edmonton

I think the leafs trade is close to fair but neither player will crack the leafs lineup, even with kappy gone, thinkntheyveould want Bratt or zacha.

Just curious, as a Devils fan, what is going to happen with the Oilers' D next year then?

I assume it would be:

Klefbom- Larsson
Nurse - Russell / maybe Bouchard
Sekera - Benning

Manning/ Bear/ Jones -7th

Are the Oilers just going buyout Sekera/ Russell to make room for younger players, trade them for a lose and spend that money elsewhere, or just bench them and bury them in the minors for 2 more years?
