    I know UFA can sign anywhere, but wouldn't Arizona be better off signing Perron or Brouwer and not giving up any draft picks for the middling Eller?
    Colorado fans may not like the trade, but as a Hab I don't like it. Just as the Canadians might be getting better in three years, the 9th overall draft pick is emerging into the NHL on a cheap ELC (maybe) then Duchene is a UFA.

    Yes, Arizona would be. But Eller is good third line shutdown center, so this trade could also happen with some other teams.
    The Colorado trade is not really necessary, I know, but the habs will need a real first/second line center for the 2018/2019 season.
    I don´t believe that Danault could play this position (he will be the third line center 2017/2018).
