Eummmm, Interesting...

I guess this means that either Condon or Anderson won't be back next season.

Also, Nilsson is the perfect mentor for Hogberg.

I don't mind this TBH

He looked solid for OTT after the trade, but he wasn't good for VAN before that. It's a moderate-risk-moderate-reward deal.

Need to get to the cap floor first of all and it's only a 2 year deal. Fits just perfect for them and Nilsson played pretty decent for them since the Sens acquired him from Vancouver. Can mentor both Gustavsson & Hogberg as well. Great signing overall.

Decent contract. Maybe a bit too much, but at least it helps Ottawa hit the floor.

I don't think most people who voted "No" took into account his perfect ability to mentor Hogberg and Gustavsson (possibly positively affecting their career), and the fact that Ottawa desperately needs to hit the cap floor right now. Give a payday to someone who played decently and can mentor the young guys while maintaining your cap situation. Moderate risk if Nilsson goes back to Vancouver-vintage but moderate reward if he can do his job as a mentor and play as he has been playing in Ottawa.

If it means that Anderson is gone, I'm totally fine with it. If we're going Andy and Anders it makes zero sense. Hog looks ready, and Belleville is getting crowded.

They need to get to floor and he's better than Mike Condon so whatever the hell, I guess. Still not a good contract.

Anderson is done...or at least should be done. If they can actually draft well, OTT can def. be competitive again in a few years. They do have some decent young talent w/ Chabot, Tkachuck, Batherson, Lajoie, and Brannstrom.
