No from TOR. I dislike TOR but they wouldn't be so stupid that they'd move a solid young winger and a C under a quite good contract for a pending UFA D who isn't even right-handed which they need very much, a center that will never get up from the 3rd line when Tavares and Matthews are in the first two spots and a ok LHD prospect which they already have in Dermott and Sandin

What Center would ever be ahead of Tavares and Matthews? Huh? Of course no center will beat them out for 1A and 1B at Center! That's why TOR should investigate reducing salary at 3C -- they already proved they can play a bit without Kadri in the lineup. Jankowski is a solid, developing 3C. Have to look at cheaper contracts in the bottom 6 when you have 3 players at over $10M/year; that's how it works. $4.5M at 3C is a high price to pay.

His number will be closer to $9M for 8 years than it will be to $7.5M. Just putting in that number to leave some room for his negotiation. Flames fans would happily take $9M x 8 years.

Kadri would be a 2C in many other teams. Jankowski could work for TOR, but not in exchange to Kadri. That was my point. At the very least, CGY would have to add. Kadri+3rd for Jankowski+Kylington could maybe work...

I've confirmed that Jankowski + Kylington + 1st (#26) would be a very, very compelling package for Nylander. This deal just adds Brodie, a Top 4 dman who is best on the right side, for Kadri. As a one-for-one, that deal is very possible, especially when you factor in the $4.4M in savings that makes it possible for Dubas to Marner at $10M, Kapanen at $4M, and Johnsson at $4M.

With one of the more reputable Leafs commentators, who is also the most prolific user on Capfriendly.

Yeah I know that guy, he's dead set on wanting to get rid off Nylander. There's been several posts where Nylander's been moved for low amount and he'd been in favor of that, presumably in order to save cap, while other Leafs fans have called the move just atrocious... Stalking comment sections is nice.
