Description

Based on both MacKinnon's and Landeskog's current contracts and the mentality that Joe and Bednar have established for this orginization, I could see Rantanen taking a team-friendly deal to keep this a competitive Colorado team for years to come. Johansson has looked absolutely amazing in the playoffs for Boston and would be a great second center behind Mac and Dzingel would add more scoring.

I'm guessing 8.5-9 for Rantanen if it's a long term deal.......which would still be pretty team friendly.

Marner's. Look at it from his perspective: Tavares got paid, Nylander got paid, Matthews got paid, but now that it's his turn he's supposed to take a haircut "for the team"?

More than 8 is definitely a little more realistic, but at the same time Joe's never been one to hand out big deals. Rantanen is definitely a player who you could justify making upwards of 8 but he's expressed interest in staying in Colorado and I think he'll take a deal similar to Pastrnak's.
