Sign Kapanen at $4,225M and you only have to give up a 2nd. Plus the Leafs don't likely match that offer

If they don’t like the compensation they may match. For a 1st and a 3rd I think they let kappy go.

If it's a longer term (3-5) year deal for $4.225M per year and it was a 2nd would they match?

This is one of my favorite teams put together on this site so far. One thing I constantly question is everyone pairing Lee-Bailey-Nelson, which has 0 dynamic. You've paired Lee with 2 talented players to bolster him, Bailey and Nelson get a winger who can truly drive their line, and a 3rd line that can be a solid checking line while having decent skating and shooting. that Chi trade probably would turn out differently, but this gets an A from me.
