I don't see the point for COL to sacrifice Jost for Kadri. Jost is still young and has upside.

I dont think Fleury is worth Kapanen. Im also not sure if Colorado does it. Doubt the Isles are looking to take expensive contracts

I would be very shocked if Brown can return a 3rd pick. There will be a ton of guys in FA who teams could sign for less and give you pretty much the same thing.

He is pretty much a 4th line guy.

You are not getting Jost for Kadri.

Fair or not - what have you done for me lately and Brown and Kadri have done no favors to Dubas.

They need a 2nd/3rd line centre and Naz fits thats more than Jost. Yes he has the upside but Naz took a step back because of Tavares signing. I thought it was fair trade maybe a small piece from the leafs side but tbh I thought it was fair. As far as the NYI trade I just wanted to get rid of him and isn’t a bad player but since the leafs need cap it looks bad. For the Carolina trade it makes sense. They get a scoring winger for a dman who they have alot of and hasn’t proved much yet

brown can easily get you a 3rd. He is just so far down the lineup because of the depth we got. He can easily put in 15 and has a great defensive aspect on him.

I guess we will agree to disagree and see what his return is. To me it seems more like he played up previously and benefited from the talent around him. He had 8 goals and 14 the prior year.

When Nylander was holding out, he had every opportunity to prove that he could play up in the lineup. Quickly surpassed by Kap.

Fair enough but he didn’t have enough icetime to play more like he did in the years past. I wouldn’t be mad to get a 4th and 5th either

He has pretty much had the exact same three last seasons as David Backes. If the Bruins retained 50% of his salary could they get a 3rd pick? - Nope. & Backes has actually produced a little in the playoffs and much like Marleau a good leader - not that Brown isn't, but guys who have 150 NHL games vs 1000+, that means something.

He'll be too busy working out a 7 year, $12.5M AAV offer sheet for Marner.
