And that Gardiner isn't coming back;

And Dermott is out at least 6 months;

And that Liljegren and/or Sandin aren't NHL ready;

Who TF is playing D for the TML next season.............

I think it’s more a mutual thing. He wasn’t signed by the current management and hasn’t really developed into his contract.

maybe its a family issue?
maybe he doesn't want the taxes?
maybe being in toronto with a bad contract is stressful?

The Leafs have Rosen and Borgman waiting in the AHL ready to take a spot. This will be their chance if they ever had one. Toronto will also likely grab some cheap free agent dman.

If Rosen is going to be their 3rd best D in the beginning of the season they're going to be in biiiiig trouble.

Is filling Gardners, Zaitsev, Hainsey's roster spot for a couple of AHL D and a cheap FA really the best solution?

Might be, or might not. He could have a good showing. Just turned 25 and was one of the best defenders in the AHL (was 2nd in the AHL version of the Norris if I recall correctly). Borgman ain't bad either and could bring a nice level of physicality to the leafs.

Its not likely to be pretty but I mean its going to give the leafs some time to evaluate what they got.

Muzzin - Rielly
Rosen - Liljegren
Sandin - Borgman

When will Toronto realize they will NEVER win without addressing their D .. definition of insanity; doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result

Question.. what do the Leafs and the Easter Bunny have in common? .. both never make it to May
