For JR Avon theres an icon beside his name showing he's exempt from the 50 contract limit. As for Fedotov, yes he counts against the 50 contract limit.

The Dallas prospect chosen with the 162nd pick in 2020 draft goes by many names "Yauheni Aksiantsiuk" (NHL), "Yevgeni Oksentyuk" (Central Registry), "Evgeny Oksentyuk" (KHL), "Yevgeni Oksentyuk" (Elite Prospects), "Evgeniy Oksentyuk" (HockeyDB), "Yevgeni Oksentyuk" (AHL), "Yauheni Aksiantsiuk" (ECHL).

On June 7, 2021, Dallas announced that they had signed him to a 3-year ELC contract that runs through 2023-24 season. CapFriendly reported his signing on June 7, 2021. CapFriendly also lists the contract on the player page but also lists this player as "inactive".

But he is not listed on the CapFriendly Dallas Team page (Nor on reserves)
He is also missing from the Dallas Depth Chart, the Waiver exemption list, or Contract comparables or any other tools.

He played in AHL/ECHL last season, but returned to KHL for 2022-23 for year 2 of this 3-year ELC. Shouldn't he be listed under "non-roster" on the Dallas page?

At the Sharks reserve list here (https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/reserve-list/sharks) I see that Evgenii Kashnikov has the rights expiry date already in the coming June, but since before this season he signed in the KHL I think that should be changed to "INDEFINITE".

At the conditions on CGY 2025 1st traded to MTL, last one. (2. If CGY’s pick is 2nd to 10th, MTL receives CGY’s 2025 1st round pick.) It should be 2026 instead of 2025.

On the Devils Cap Tracker it shows Meier as

Cap: $6,000,000
Daily Hit: $32,432
Proj Hit: $1,524,324

...it should be...

Cap: $3,000,000
Daily Hit: $16,216
Proj Hit: $745,946

(Meier was retained 50%)

Also, small thing...but on both the 2011 draft page and on Jamie Langenbrunner trade page it has the 2011 trade between Dallas and New Jersey backwards.

Trade 1: March 19, 2002: NJD sent Jason Arnott, Randy McKay and their 2002 1st round pick (#20 Daniel Paille) to Dallas for Jamie Langenbrunner and Joe Nieuwendyk. (Dallas later sent the pick to Columbus for Ron Tugnut, Columbus sent the pick to Buffalo in a move up at the draft)

Trade 2: January 6, 2011: NJD sent Langenbrunner to Dallas for a 2011 3rd round pick (#75 Blake Coleman).

[Coleman eventually traded for a 1st, which became Mukhamadullin, who was traded for Meier...if anyone is wonder how I stumbled upon this]

Also, for places where draft picks were used as compensation for hiring coaches or GM's there is often a blank trade listed. For example,

2017 #81 pick (Reilly Walsh). It was San Jose's compensation for hiring Pete Deboer.
2016 #72 pick (James Greenway). It was New Jersey's compensation to Pittsburgh for hiring John Hynes

FYI they ended draft pick compensation for hiring coaches and GMs as of Jan 1, 2016.

I’m no CBA expert but recent Ducks signee Jaxson Wiebe is listed as signing a standard contract but since he’s 20 ( 21 as the signing age ) shouldn’t it be an ELC?

There are a handful of players now playing NCAA hockey whose expiry rights are still listed as if they were Junior or European players

1. Aku Koskenvuo (VAN) just finished his freshman year at Harvard
2. Samu Salminen (NJD) just finished his first season at UConn (played one game in beginning of year for Jokerit while Visa issues were worked out)
3. Oskar Jellvik (BOS) just finished his freshman year at Boston College
4. Viktor Hurtig (NJD) just finished his first year at Michigan State
5. Philip Svedeback (BOS) just finished his first year at Providence College

Also, there are two players with 8/15/23 expiry rights that have committed to new schools for 5th years (expiry rights would move to 8/15/24)

1. Liam Gorman (PIT)* - going to UMass
2. Patrick Moynihan (NJD) - going to Notre Dame

There are five others with 8/15/23 expiry rights who have placed their names in transfer portal, but have not committed anywhere yet (might move to 8/15/24)

1. Riley Hughes (NYR)
2. Jack Malone (VAN)*
3. Jared Moe (WPG)
4. Josh Nodler (CGY)
5. Marshall Warren (MIN)

* Note, Ivy leagues don't allow 5th year (also keep eye on John Farinacci, Mitchell Gibson and Austin Wong)

On that note, Judd Caulfield's contract is also currently listed as a standard contract, even though he's 22, and the structure of his contract looks more like an ELC than a standard contract.

Can add Trevor Janicke to this list (expiry rights to 8/15/24). He has announced he is returning for fifth year

Not so much an error as much as an update is needed to the mock draft lottery teams. The Florida pick owned my Montreal still shows up as a lottery candidate.

I believe Colorado still owns rights to Tyler Weiss who returned for fifth year this past season. CF shows 8/15/2022 expiry, where they should have been 8/15/2023.

NCAA fifth years (all Seniors going for fifth year at current school...so rights push out to 8/15/2024)

1. Case McCarthy (NJD): Boston University
2. Anthony Romano (ARI): Clarkson
3. Dustyn McFaul (BOS): Clarkson

NCAA transfers (all Seniors going for fifth year at new school...so rights push out to 8/15/2024)

1. Josh Nodler (CGY): from Massachusetts to Bowling Green
2. Eric Ciccolini (NYR): from Michigan to Clarkson
3. Marshall Warren (MIN): from Boston College to Michigan
4. Riley Hughes (NYR): from Northeastern to Ohio State
5. Ethan Phillips (DET): from Boston University to Western Michigan
6. Jack Perbix (ANA): from Western Michigan to Northern Michigan

Players with 8/15/2023 expiry that are still in transfer portal

1. Jared Moe (WPG): Wisconsin
2. Jack Malone (VAN): Cornell
3. Arvid Henrikson (MTL): Lake Superior

Thanks again! Appreciate the help.

Good catch on Weiss, your'e correct.

Would you be able to provide a source for Case McCathy?

All the others have been updated and will monitor the remaining players in the transfer portal.

2. Jack Malone (VAN): Cornell
3. Arvid Henrikson (MTL): Lake Superior

More NCAA players returning (rights expiry to move back a year to 8/15/2024)

1. Carter Berger (FLA) going back to WMU for 5th year
2. Quinn Olson (BOS) to UMD
3. Matthew Thiessen (VAN) same
4. Luke Loheit (OTT) same
5. Logan Neaton (WPG) returns to Miami

Remaining players with 8/15/2023 expiry
-- Tyler Weiss (COL), Jack Gorniak (MTL), Ben Brinkman (DAL), Gavin Hain (PHI), Nick Leivermann (COL), Ryan O'Connell (TOR) have all used their fifth years already
-- Austin Wong (WPG) hasn't entered transfer portal and is from conference that doesn't allow 5th year
-- Kevin Wall expects to go pro (Still unsigned)

That leaves the following unaccounted for (possible August 15th free agents)
1. Jay O'Brien (PHI) will not be signed
2. Ryan Johnson (BUF)
3. Robert Mastrosimone (DET) unlikely to sign
4. John Farinacci (ARI) will not be signing in Arizona
5. Harrison Blaisdell (WPG)
6. Owen Lindmark (FLA)
7. Simon Kjellberg (NYR)
8. Bryce Brodzinski (PHI)

All others have either said they are returning to school or are signing pro deal

@Jarvis I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but it looks like the two numerical values get mixed up in the French site. In the example below, it should be Choix de 2e ronde en 2024 instead of Choix de 2024 ronde en 2e. Basically, the year and the round should be switched.
