Description

Marleau won't waive his full no-movement clause. His family is settled in Toronto, he wants to win the cup. No contending team wants his contract. Need to make sure Kapanen gets traded and not offer-sheeted. He adds speed and skill to Minnesota who needs to add some. Leaf's trade his rights, Minnesota signs the deal. Horton's cap hit is going against the cap on this site for some reason.

Apparently a Marleau trade being talked about between the Kings and Leafs. For arguments sake let’s say it’s true, would both Dubas and Blake be wasting time ironing out a deal if Marleau didn’t give the okay? Or do the ask him after the fact? ?

Maybe trying to put something together then present it to him to get the go ahead. Similar to the Pittsburgh/Minnesota deal that Kessel shot down after the fact.

Kapanen for Greenway is an even exchange, more or less, so why should we get a first-round pick for Timashov and a third? And with Scott, Woll and MacAdam in the system behind Andersen, why in the world would we want Stalock?
