Maybe yes from Buffalo, though I'm not sure Montreal and Calgary do it.

A versatile guy in the top 6 who fits our age core perfectly, I would at least think about it.

That's a big no from my standpoint. Brodie is the only guy Habs would be actively going after from that bunch. Im still not convinced Foo is even a prospect anymore. In any case doesn't entice me in the slightest. Sheary, if really wanted could probably be had for a couple mid picks. I know Habs fans on here are on Drouin rear now but he is by no means a easy trade target. He was lights out for 75% of the season but people dwell only on the other 25%. Just to put things into perspective, Spencer Foo is a year older than Drouin.......

To be fair, you're not also losing any "elite level" skill. You get a LHD you need, a decent winger, prospect and some good picks.

I'm open to suggestions if you have any ideas on how to make the trade better.

just cause drouin had a bad 2nd half of the season, doesn't mean he doesn't have elite skill. in fact, he's probably the most skilled player in this whole trade scenario...

from MTL point of view i see more : Tatar , Lehkonen vs Brodie, 2nd round 2020,4th round . 2 years of Tatar for 1 of Brodie and Lehkonen for a second round and 4th round . MTL don't need the other players (Foo, Sheary ) so let say that's the diference between Tatar and Drouin.

In this trade he probably is.

Then again, the other main pieces of this trade are both d-men. Risto and Brodie.

That's quite reasonable. Although the point was to get Risto to CGY, and I don't see BUF being that interested in Tatar...

Hard to say as the 3 way is contingent on both teams wanting something the Habs have and vice versa.

Lol Drouin has elite level skill.

The issue is if he can do it consistently, and I’m personally not ready to give up on him like many other Habs fans on here. And this deal really doesn’t make me second guess that thought.
