As an Oiler fan I’d be in heaven if that Boston trade ever happened.

I think it would benefit both teams. Boston gets cap relief a good RW behind Pasta. and Gives them another good center prospect which they are lacking. Edmonton gets Krug to bolster their power play and a a winger who could jump into the top 9

I doubt this would happen tho, the cap relief comes at the cost of krug who is very good and puljavrii and mccloud arent nearly enough for one of the better defencemen in the nhl, plus backes has less years left on his deal than Lucic

Boston doesn't have the cap space to re-sign Krug after next season which makes me think they will move him this off season instead of lose him for nothing.

There going to have to move backs reguardless. But after next season krug will command 7M, McAvoy will command 8+M after his bridge is over, and Carlo will be around 4-5M. That will leave boston paying over 20M for 3 defenseman which they can't afford. They will then have to sign Debrusk to an extension. Krug can be replaced on the PP by McAvoy and Grez moves the puck just as good as him but plays better defense 5 on 5. Move up Lauzon and Vaak. Move him and bring back higher end prospects in McLeod and Pulju.
