Description
This is with the intention that Bowen Byram gets drafted. If Turcotte is drafted than I don't believe the Hawks go after Hayes.

**** Kevin Hayes. That said, I don't think they go after him regardless of who they draft. Strome is going to get paid and anchor that second line for awhile, they can't afford to tie up 6+ mil in a third line center.

Cozens, Byram, or Turcotte... I used to be hard Cozens but man, the choice is getting really tough... I'd LOVE to have Turcotte, just hard to tell if he or Cozens will pan out better. Is Byram better than either one? I don't know anymore...

It’s a good question, man! I am glad I don’t have to make that decision though! So many options!

Just wait until you start seeing what zegras can do. Look it up... a hard choice for the real bowman.

Same, it seems like after Hughes and Kakko go 1-2, it's almost a crapshoot because the talent is pretty even from about picks 3-10. I love what Dach brings but he might be a reach at 3. But in Byram's case, you can't have too many defensive prospects. Joki, Boqvist, Beaudin, and Byram as the future top-4 for 5-10 years does make me semi-chubbed. lol

Hah, the music that bad?

I also like Zegras, he's great, but I don't think he's in quite the same category as the big 3, even if Stanbo/Mark Kelley mentions him. But that's just me, what the hell do I know? Besides fighting Wing Kong in Chinatown...

Mitchell and krys seem like overkill though

We don't know how Byram and Turcotte will develop, so lets assume they are equal.
I'd say draft Byram and here is my reasoning.
Drafting Byram will free up Gustafsson so CHI can get 1st perhaps 15OA if Montreal takes him. Perhaps add 1st 2020 to that 15OA and maybe a Krys and you get yourself maybe 8-10AO and get maybe Zegrass or Boldy or another great pick.
Drafting Turcotte will be just that, he doesn't free up anything immediately and Chicago needs help ASAP if they plan on another deep run within next 2-3 years.

Don't forget Mitchell. Mitchell is going to be a very solid shutdown defender.

Mitchell is very solid. He's more a typical D guy versus Beaudin, Boqvist and even Jokiharju to an extent.
