0.0% chance Marner makes 11 mil. The drugs some leaf fans consume is scary

Why do Sens do that trade? Leafs are happy just to give Zaitsev away but you want to give them a second rounder? MacArthur has absolutely no meaning in a NHL trade.
Leafs would rather have one year of bad contract year of Marleau than four years buyout of Phanuef.
Sure Pateryn shoots right handed, but so do I.
Jake has peaked I imagine at age 28....and you want him for eight more years....No thanks but would like to have at that price for two years.

On 8 years, why the hell not?

I'm generally team "squeeze him till he begs not to be made a pariah in his hometown," but if the Leafs can really get rid of Z and Marleau, might as well lock him long term.

Even on 8 years hes not worth it. He is the 8th -12th best winger in the NHL depending on the argument. Why pay him like the #1?

Why on earth would you EVER want Phaneuf back? He's actually worse in LA...

You get cap relief for buying out Phaneuf. There's no cap relief for Marleau.

Yeah but at almost 3 mil, is that really a wise use of a buyout?

It's actually just over $2M, because Ottawa has to eat 25% if the buyout cap hit due to retained salary.

My God, stop with the Marleau trades!!!! He has a NMC and doesn’t want to retire as a cap dump to a rebuilding/poor club. (And notice all the proposals are never to go a good club.)

Every Leaf post has this as a viable option, making the fan base look beyond dillusional
