Carlo McAvoy Heinen all reject. $6mil for eberle is laughable. Just keep Heinen, NYR rejects that anyway

Yeah Eberle really stinks lol ... Also the McAvoy, Heinen contracts are both way too small, and Carlo is probably even a little underpaid too.

Bcarlo25. Argue all you want about term. Yah very possible I’m wrong but if you are not trolling and you truly believe that Heinen is better than Eberle than you know absolutely nothing about hockey and you are embarrassing yourself with some of your comments. Lol

Usually I agree with your takes, but I’m really not sure how this is even remotely true. I love Heinz too.

Even with Heinen's sophomore slump this year, where he basically didn't have a point for two months, he was only three points behind Eberle. Eberle's entire game is offensive production, and he stinks at it. Heinen is so much better in the neutral zone and defensive zone than Eberle. Are we supposed to forget all this because for a week this postseason he actually showed a pulse and got a few points? No. He stinks. The previous playoff run he had he went 0-2-2 in 13 games and didn't see his own blue line. He's trash. He's somehow going to get 5 million from a desperate GM, but he isn't worth 1.5. He stinks.

Points are an awful way to judge player value. I'll admit, Eberle 100% had a down year but that in no way means he's bad. Even so, he still had a 1.13 5v5 p1/60 and a 1.41 p1/60 in general. He also had a positive rel corsi for and rel xGF. This goes to show that although it wasn't showing up on the score sheet as much, he was still producing and driving play well. Any good GM shouldn't hesitate to give him 5 million or even 6. He's great.

lol want to know what's a worse way to judge a player? freaking corsi. Hey I agree with you for the most part, points are a lousy way to judge a player. Except when you're talking about a certain type of player. The type of player that brings literally nothing to the table other than offensive production....like Eberle. He brings nothing to the table. He is flat out garbage.

Can we agree on a couple things? First, heinen is a much better defensive hockey player than Eberle. That's a no brainer, so i assume we agree on that. Second, Eberle isn't going to find himself any significant powerplay time in Boston. Maybe second unit, maybe on the ice for 20% of bostons powerplay time sound about right? Want to know who had better offensive production 5 on 5? Ya, it was Heinen. If I was sweeney I honestly don't think I'd give that walking turnover without a pulse in clutch moments a PTO.

I just don't like how here we're judging him after a down year playing with Brock Nelson and Anthony Beauvillier as linemates as opposed to, idk, David Krejci and Jake Debrusk who he'd have if he comes here. I think he'd be a great signing and we'd be able to cash in on the down year, and he wouldn't cost a lot. I do agree Heinen had a better year but it's a terrible take to say Eberle is a bad player or anything close to it.

Oh I've always thought he sucks. He's a guy that can put the puck in the net if he's given a lot of time and space. You know what you don't get against good teams? Time and space. He's useless in the corners. He's useless when it comes to actually playing a system (career -49). He had one good year when he was like 21. Ever since then He's been crap.

He has never played with a good leadership group either in Edmonton or New York. He is an elite player that would score at least 30 on a line with Bergy and Marsh. And they would be wonders for his career and would help him develop a 200 foot game. I mean look at Pasta when he first started. As I’ve always said Heinen will never be more than a solid 3rd line player. They tried him on the top line and he put up a few points. Hell I would on that line. Eberle is a top 6 and would have great chemistry will Bergy and Marsh. If you can get him for 5 or 6 Mil a year. You do it. And those guys and that leadership would bring the intensity back into Eberle’s game that’s been lost from being on Edmonton all those years. I’ve never seen intensity from Heinen. Even when he does pop a couple.

sick argument, Eberle is close to a 1st line winger.

A) He's not using corsi to evaluate a player. If that's what you got out of that, then you're a professional dumbf*ck.
B) Eberle is an excellent offensive player, his offensive CF and xG rates are well above league average.
C) Heinen (using the same metrics that were used to evaluate Eberle) is in fact, slightly below league average offensively. Both his offensive CF and xG rates are slightly below the league average. Eberle has him beat easily on that.

Whichever team signs Eberle (since he had a "down year") will be getting him on a steal of a contract.

The metric I’m using is watching hockey games
