FYI Trouba as sure as hell isn't signing with the New York Rangers for only $7 million per. Fans need to get off this delusional notion that he's signing for cheap. He wants big money and would get in in free agency. His own agent Kurt Overhardt said that Jacob could seek anywhere from $8 million to $9 million per over 7 or 8 seasons with any team.

Are you his freaking Dad? Every single Trouba post you are trolling about what he is gonna sign for or how that isnt enough to get him. Must be exhausting for you to be so lame.

Brett Howden 3rd line winger Winnipeg has tons of those Pionk bottom pairing D man barely NHL level. Yeah Chevy would really be interested in those two Detroit would offer him a by far better deal then this garbage. Trouba wont be heading to the NYR for what you're offering that's for sure. Florida beats that deal by offering Vincent Trocheck Detroit beats by offering AA++ Need to post a source or it's just merely speculation right now.

I know what his agent has said plus others, Jets writer Ken Weibe said that Jacob wants anywhere from $8.5 million to $9 million so yeah and lot's of insiders have said the exact same thing. Trouba will get close to $7 million per on a one year arbitration deal coming off a 50 point season. So yeah pretty much know what he's seeking here.

Trouba would sure look good in Ranger blue- but this type of deal does not speak to the patience JD has been talking about in rebuilding this Ranger team...4 "future talents" along with a cap favor might just be the market value of Trouba- but someone else will need to pay it...who knows- maybe Trouba would continue his trajectory and become a star in NY...but the risk of him coming here (unfortunately like many other marquee athletes) and having a miserable time of it- considering what was given up to get him and the cost to sign him (prob will be AT LEAST 7.5-8M per) is not worth the risk.

He's good but he's really not a $7.5-8M defenseman, I haven't missed many of his games since he entered the league but he hasn't looked as good as he did in his first season and a half in the league, he hasn't looked the same since a scary injury he suffered early in his career, he also hasn't looked the same since his buddy Bogosian was traded. He's entering his prime years though so maybe he'll take off or going somewhere he wants will bring out his best, time will tell on that.
I still can't believe he racked up 50 points this season cause when he was put on the Jets powerplay it sunk like a rock.
His true worth is about $6.25-6.50, the most I'd want to pay him is $6.75M at most but he's gonna get something in the range of $7.25-8.5M. I don't think whichever team gives him that that their fans will be too pleased after watching him for 15 games or so, fans will probably be saying: 'We're paying $8M for this?' I'll be glad when he's no longer a Jet, this discussion and uncertainty around him has dragged out for far too long already.

Don't worry about this troll.. he comments on every post involving trouba saying he won't sign for less than 7.5 and it seems to keep going up... yet when it's a detroit team and he's signed for 6.5-7m he remains silent on the figure and says how this is definitely going to happen... and if you actually track his comments, the direct line to trouba keeps changing. Now he apparently is best friends with Trouba's agent. Few times ago it was through his fiance. Few times before it was his cousins, brother in law's half sisters other cousins husband or something like that

edit: He is also so close that he didn't hear the rumor that Trouba's Fiance has a job offer at a hospital in NYC..

Hey- you know your player better than us Ranger fans...but if what you are saying is accurate, it validates my point that the risk the Rangers incur in this deal is not worth it...I still wouldn't mind seeing a deal for Trouba- just not this one...I have questioned all along why is Wpg so reluctant to extend him...the response I have received is that they don't want to extend a player who doesn't want to be there...maybe true- but its amazing how quickly most players will change their mind on that once shown the money and term- yet if Wpg isn't willing to invest in their own homegrown talent- that means "buyer beware" for other teams...and any deal should reflect that.

Well obviously right now Trouba only wanted the Rangers, So Chevy got a garbage return for him. Still no guarantee's that Trouba commits long term with the Rangers.
