Can't give him 8 years. He would have to have been on the team at the trade deadline to qualify for an 8 year extension.

I don't see Hayes taking a downgrade in pay. He made 5,175,000 last season.

I love this move for Philly. Hayes is perfect for them! I think he gets around $6M-$7M rather than 5, though.

Hayes probably gets closer to 7 x 6.5 or 7 x 7 rather easily.

He's 27, six years might be his max term. Bozak, six years older signed 5.0m X 3 last summer might be a similar offensive player. 5.75m might be about his top reasonable salary. Reason as a UFA?

Brock Nelson signed 6mx6 and Hayes has better numbers than him, Hes getting 6.5mx5 easily
