Description

Similar to the Stepan and Ranta for ARI 7th and Deangelo.

-BUF has a ton of pressure on them to compete for the playoffs after many years of losing and have built a core that can begin to compete with the right pieces.

-Kreider has only a year left on his contract while Stepan had several, which diminishes value unless extended or given a condition to make it hurt less if they cant lock him down.

- Kreids and Georgie have similar statlines to Step and Ranta although the former are on a much worse and less competitive team and Georgi is a step below Ranta. However Georgi is much younger (23 as compared to 28).

-Rangers select Dach or Cozens if available

No thanks. We have two goaltenders and no one will pay #7 for a possible rental Kreider, Yes I would, even for re-sign of Kreider would not give #7. We rented Skinner for the second and third round and middle prospect.

Not to beat a dead horse, but no way in hell does BUF do that. Maybe you'd get the STL 1st from Buf for this deal but 7th is only be used to select a player or to move up in the draft. Highly, highly doubt it's used to trade for a current player unless they are under age 23

This trade is insane from a rangers perspective. Can get much more then that for those two players combined
