Thats a hard no from Tampa. If it costs that much to move a year of Cally might aswell just keep him for a year and use his cap hit for Vasy instead of Point

What you’re offering philly isn’t enough for one of those players alone, much less both of them

Patrick is looking like one of the weaker top 2 picks in a while and is likely 3rd line in Phili. Just because he was drafted top two doesn't mean he is elite. Risto is a top 4 D and we're giving up our top prospect and a 1st

They've got a lot of guys to sign. Saving 5.8 this year is huge for them

Not huge enough to lose Foote. Maybe Katchouk. They've got guys to sign next year too. Move someone else that they have to move anyway keep Cally until his runs out.

Burning their best prospect for a year of cap relief is an incredibly short sighted move.

Dude, Nylander is a bust, Risto can’t play D and the first is #30/31. Don’t kid yourself

Nylander is far from a bust. He just turned 21! Risto not playing D is a myth. He's been on terrible teams. He'd easily be top 5 2nd pair Right shot D in the league if on the right team. Patrick has been hurt and disappointing his first two years in the NHL

So Nylander is far from a bust at 21 while Patrick is one of the weaker second overall picks at 20. Glad to see you’re not biased at all

Then why are you trading for him? That would mean its basically Risto for Ghost and I'm sure as a Sabres fan you value Risto higher. Clearly Patrick has the ceiling if you're trading for him
