As a jets fan I like the trade, but from what I've been hearing Laine is around 10 mil where taxes are applicable, he will not sign long term in WPG unless its at least 10 mil. If he going somewhere with no state tax, I could see him taking 9 or 8.5

Edit: at first glance I thought more was in the trade, this is more likely to be a trade you'd see for Trouba and Ehlers. I think that would be fair. Laine won't be traded unless the jets are receiving a start player in return. I just don't think the trade is enough for WPG.

LMAO, how many time do I have to tell you, your valuations are asinine! You probably think Zaitsev is worth a late 1st...

Laine is completely one dimensional, had a down year and wants out of WPG, or so it seems. His value couldn't be lower right now, at lest that is how other teams see it. Ehlers isn't even better than JVR so that would be an atrocious deal for the FLyers.

just because you're wrong on something, doesn't mean it's asinine for someone to point it out. If you were Winnipeg, would you take this offer? No. You wouldn't. So just because you're a Flyers fan you think it's fair because it favours your team.

... Also funny how you always revert back to insulting Leafs players. Shows what kind of hockey fan you really are. LOL

Again with the bias.. Ehlers is worth more than JVR. You talk about Laine being one dimensional, but you pass by the fact that JVR is even more one dimensional.

But even a Jets fan is telling you that the trade value is off. But it favours your team, so it must be fair. At least that's the way you seem to think.

Ya a fan that knows 90% of Leafs fans don't know hockey! And you are one of them!

JVR literally scores most of his goals from in front of the net and tips them in. He's a liability defensively. Slightly above average skater. So yes, one dimensional is the way to describe him.

With the way you're commenting, it would seem like you're the one who doesn't know much about hockey and you're just being bias. At least that's the way your comments make you seem.

I didn't realize scoring goals from in front of the net makes them not count. Better lower Tavares total drastically! Guy's fking useless!

did I say it makes them count less? please show me where I said that. I'm intrigued.

You call Laine one dimensional for only scoring goals, but at least he can do it in multiple ways. JVR scores 90% of his goals from tips and rebounds in front of the net and he does very little else on the ice.

Oh and if you wanna include Tavares in your poor evaluations, Tavares plays defence better, wins faceoffs, sets his teammates up, shoots and scores from more than just in front of the net, controls the play more.. Tavares is far and away the better player if you wanna talk about him and JVR. But I guess your Philly eyes see JVR as the king or something. Idk, your evaluations always seem bias and when multiple teams fans tell you that they aren't fair value, you get offended and immediately resort to insulting a different teams players. Maybe you should evaluate your opinions, then evaluate your trade analysis. Or grow up.

That's ok...I showed actual knowledgeable, unbiased fans this trade and most said it was fair value but WPG likely wouldn't want to trade both. Fair value is good enough for me on a site that means nothing. Thanks for coming out though kid. Stay in school!

Lol. Your Philly friends don't count as "knowledgeable, unbiased fans".
