I don't think the Hawks buyout Sekera if that's the defense they're icing.

I don't think that's enough to get that deal done with EDM. Maybe throw in the Hawks 2019 2nd and you get there. Even then, I'm not sure it works for either team. Losing Saad and Gs makes the Hawks much worse in the short term, and I don't know if a first and Poolparty as a reclamation project is enough to offset.

If Stan included a conditional pick for a Gus extension...EDM should JUMP on this. Sekera is terrible and while Pool Party is claiming he's not going to the KHL...I'd bet money he secretly wishes he was there rather than EDM considering how they're treating his development. Those rumors start with partial truth because he's unhappy, then he goes and explores his options...which is how the rumor starts and then needs to go back on the rumors because he was just exploring his options.

I don’t think EDM sends sekera unless a buyout is pre-determined. In this senario they can resign him for 2mil AAV for 3 years and still have him in EDM.

Their Kevin Hayes and Paul Stastny auditions seem to conflict that sentiment. Anisimov can play with skill players, he is the perfect middle six center for the Jets.

I think the jets are looking to add center depth and more important stability to their lineup. I think Anisimov checks off both of those boxes.

If that is your biggest problem with this trade then I suppose the hawks could retain 1-1.5million dollars on his contract.

yeah also that i doubt the jets would give up their second round pick in 2019. probably a 2020 or 2021 2nd.
