If you have to trade Gus and Saad, why not combine the two and get a top 15 pick this year? Them together could get a really good haul from Edmonton or Buffalo.

No, c'mon, Q's system is not something Gus will strive under, and although I agree 1st rounder is good for him, but it will not be FL who should offer it.

Do you think that Gus and Saad along with maybe the Hawks’ 2nd rounder could get them the 7OA from BUF or 8OA from EDM? I really just don’t have a clear idea what Saad and Gus’ true values are.

Believe me, I was beyond frustrated to constantly see Gus in Q’s doghouse, but I was more just looking at their defense depth chart and basing the trade destination off of that.

I don't think the values are that far off but those two teams can't really afford to take on much cap. I can see them making trades without sending out some cap

Maybe the Hawks could take back someone like Hunwick for BUF, and have him as a 7th D-man for 1 year to help alleviate some of the cap hit.
