6 is enough, If it moves later in first say after 10 then another pick comes into play In my opinion

IDK. Maybe is, maybe not. Maybe next years first and a second + a prospect?

Throw in Larkin and Hronek, then sacrifice a goat; and maybe that will be enough

You may well be right. This is the sort of contingency plan Yzerman might have in his pocket, and decide to deploy right after the Kings take Bowen Byram at #5. But for some reason, it doesn't feel like this is quite enough from Winnipeg. (I vehemently disagree with those who think that Detroit should add.)

if you were to offersheet him that amount, the Jets would get 2-1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd. a number 6 overall in 2019 is worth more than 2-1sts in 2020 and 2021 becase in all likelihood they could be later picks. Would still want the 2nd and 3rd though.

Count me among the few who think the Wings who just should pass on Trouba this year. If he really wants to become a Wing, sign him next year. If he signs with some other team, so be it, you still got your # 6 overall pick and 7.5 to spend on players(s) you have allotted for a Trouba signing.
Plus I don't think the Jets should be necessarily be trading him. Jets still think themselves as Cup contenders and need Trouba this season. But Jets would jump at acquiring a # 6 overall.

No Yzerman already said that Hronek and the #6 pick are off the table, For Jacob Trouba.

If the #6 were Bowen Byram, It would probably be enough. Maybe add a 2nd on top of it.

What if the Jets added something like Lowry or the rights to Copp?

That might be a little too much. I was thinking along the lines of Mason Appleton or Skyler McKenzie. The Jet guys would know better, as I don't claim to be an expert on their team.

I actually am a Jets fan and was just curious what Red Wing fans thought, I'd be willing to trade Trouba and Skyler McKenzie for the 6th overall pick (I'm just thinking the Jets could use that pick to draft a center to play with Laine and Ehlers)

The Jets will not be cup contenders next season, it'd be moronic of them to hold on to Trouba as their 'own rental.

Maybe, personally I don't like the idea of Kadri joining the Jets

You're absolutely right. Surely three of the first five picks will be Byram, Hughes and Kakko. That means that three of Cozens, Dach, Krebs, Turcotte and Zegras would be available to them.

An article in the Athletic said that Yzerman told Cheveldayoff that Hronek was off the table.

Well was there an actual quote from Yzerman in it cause if not it could just be the writer saying whatever he thinks.

if they just want a pick to clear cap yes its enough if Winnipeg wants pieces for today to win then no it isn't what theyd want.

I was thinking the pick could bu used to draft a center that could play with Ehlers and Laine right away while saving money
