Description

It must piss GM's off... you build a team for years... then one day you have to choose 3D 7F 1G and let another GM pick apart what you have built.

So Next year -> no Poehling no Suzuki in the lineup, he doesn't want to expose them to Seattle.

If we sign Karlsson... who do we protect in D?

Weber, Karlsson, Mete?

what about Juulsen? Petry (our the guy we traded for)?

My guess is that they will expose Tatar or Shaw.

OH and the trade and Sign?

nothing... same squad... the exact same squad next year.

EK65 is using MTL and OTT so that teams offer up the big bucks to make him an offer he can't refuse.

Just to be more clear, no players on their 1st or 2nd NHL years, or unsigned rookies, are eligible for Seattle to draft. Also, you must play 10 games to burn out ''an NHL year'' . So the game Poehling doesn't count as a year in the NHL, even if he burned one year on his contract. The same situation goes for Quinn hughes for exemple. He playaed under 10 games so he doesnt have to be protected by vancouver in 2020-2021.

All ELC player are exempt... as the draft would be in Summer 2021... KK & Poehling will be exposed.
So 7F: Domi, Gally, Drouin, Danault, Tatar, KK, Peohling need to be protected (depend if we trade one like Tatar: Armia or Lehko will be saved)
at the D... it is different: Let's pretend we sign Karlsson for 11M/y... I would expose him at 32y.o with that salary... no one would take him... and if they do, Perfect!
You would have him during is peak before he go down with 4 y left on his contract. So protect un D: Mete, Juulsen... and probably the one you would have trade Tatar or Petry for: Murray, Brodin, Brodie?
