I would do Johnsson , Bracco and a 2+ pick. 2020 draft is suppose to be a really deep draft don’t think you will be seeing many teams trade 1st rounders

Youve got a 25 goal scorer, 50 point guy on an expiring contract who could easily leave as a UFA in one season. he's worth a late first rounder at best.

I hadn't realized Kreider didn't even score 30 last season. He was on pace for 40 by the trade deadline. 4 goals his last 27 games...

He was playing injured (why someone was playing injured on a lottery team, I couldn't tell you) but the loss of Zuccarello on his line also significantly hurt his production

You are looking for youth & different style of player that can play now:
MTL Lehko & Shaw + 2nd for Kreider (even if MTL would never bring Kreider IN because he injured Price 3 years ago)

Likely a 2nd. Not 1st. Maybe his stats arent as worthy of that package as it might seem like but his presence on the ice in Leafs uniform would be gigantic. His physical presence, skills, two-way game.. he would have great on ice presence and people would love him.

What a bunch of overpayment for Kreider. He only has only year left on his contract, so the Leafs aren't trading Johnsson or Kapanen straight up for him. And certainly the Oilers who designed to miss the playoffs even with Kreider aren't giving up the eighth pick this year or even a lottery pick next year.

Two years ago the Sharks traded a late second and fourth for a better Evander Kane at TDL....upgraded to the 25th overall with a signed Kane.
Vegas gave Detroit and a late first, second and third for 2.5 years of Tatar.

Rangers best value for him might be at TDL when a contending team is desperate for LWer

U dont like Krieder ??? I think the dude is a monster... and I have been saying for the last 2-3 yrs that the perfect winger for Sid would be Krieder or Gallagher bc of just the way they both play??
Yah Krieder isnt flashy but the dude puts up goals, is as fast as anyone on ice, will crush D-men, will drive to net, and is Def responsible... IMO he would be a very good fit on TOR or Pens.

Krieder is 10 times the player both of Kappy and Johnson are rite now. There isnt to many players that bring everything Krieder brings... and im a god darn Pens fan, lol.

Agreed, here is why he's not worth either of them in a trade tho

1) he is much older, 28 I believe? Johnson is 24, Kap 22.
2) he only has one year left on his contract, therefor you may lose him after one season.
3) Kap and Johnson are both stilld eveloping and getting better and could easily become what Kreider is.
4) You have control over both of those guys for another 4 years on Kap and 3 on Johnson I believe.
5) Kreider makes more money than Johnson or Kap would, the team saving cap space in a trade is worth value, so that makes negative value on Kreiders side.
6) Kreider hardly outscored either of those two this season.

Kreider seniority for a big name team gives him a lot of cache. But he's a good player 28 goal and 25 assist. But Ranger fans who call him 10 better than Kapanen or Johnson have him confused with Dickie Moore or Bobby Hull, chronic all stars.
