I’d argue that the Zucker trade is worse than the Neal for Lucic swap; and that one is very bad from a CGY perspective.

Imo flames need an actual power forward, they dont need these imitation guys like neal or bennett, I dont see neal rebounding after this year and as a result they need a guy to protect the guys like gaudreau and dube and lucic is accustomed to that role. As well, neal might be good in Edmonton with him knowing tippett, probably will have a bounce back season which I do not see him having next year with all his whining.

The thing is that this is almost the exact trade that fell through at the deadline. While it might seem like a lot, treliving tends to overpay to get the right guy (I.e hamonic) and with frolik's ugly contract, they would have to add in their 1st round pick

Frolik's contract isn't ugly. He's a valuable middle 6 player who increased his stock price at the World Championships. He can play special teams, and only has one year remaining at $4.3M for what he brings. Many teams can afford that kind of contract for that kind of player.
