Also I have seen so many lightning, leafs, habs, sens, etc fans supporting the bruins, so I think the league really alienated the blues here!

But in the event that it is a 1 - 0 game, NEITHER team was playing particularly well in the last game, so the fact that the goal put the blues up 2-0 and then the bruins brought it back to 2-1, it technically should have been 1-1... so in this case the ref had too much power

Yes let's promote the NHL by allowing these no talent goons always beat up and injury the other team to get all the way to the Finals to showcase their "talent". I get team toughness and defensive wins Championships but the fan ratings keep getting lower and lower each year when the really exciting players are golfing and the bush league players are "shining" instead each spring time. This is why the NHL will never pass the NBA in popularity, heck if the Raptors win the Finals than the Leafs become Toronto's 2nd most favorite sports team. Their was a time in the '80's when it was hard to imagine the Blue Jays over taking the Argos in popularity, but look at it now, soon the Leafs will be over taken by the Raptors. As Thanos says "it's inevitable". I can't remember the last time I watched a full 60 minute NHL game despite growing up loving NHL.

Everyone know the NHL is growing in popularity. The NBA has been shrinking for years. The only reason the NBA has more money is their TV rights. That is already starting to switch. Hell even their announcers say they are going to watch the NHL playoffs because they are more exciting, during the NBA playoffs broadcasts!!!!!!!!!!

American announcers say watch NHL games is better than Canada's NBA team, no surprise there.
